I work with adults who are wanting help with a variety of problems, including depression, anxiety, stress, health concerns, trauma, and family of origin issues. My work is tailored to the individual’s needs, and we begin therapy by together clarifying specific goals and the problems that need to be worked on. In addition to traditional talk therapy, I often use EMDR, a therapy modality which promotes the accelerated healing of problematic memories and beliefs about oneself. While working on problem areas, I often find it beneficial to also help people connect with and strengthen the resources that they already have available within themselves.

Often, both psychological and health problems can be helped by attention to how one cares for oneself physically, including management of body tension, food issues, and/or pain. These types of issues become an additional focus of treatment when indicated.
